Mother Amelia A.
Mother Amelia A. McGee, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in her home in the presence of her loving family, with the Lord and Savior as her witness. She was born, August 15, 1940 in Toledo, OH to the union of Mr. and Mrs. James and Katie Quisenberry- Clopton. Both preceded her in death as did sisters, Claudette Boles and Marion Joyce Clopton and granddaughter, Anasia. Mother McGee attended the former St. Benedict Elementary and Central Catholic High Schools and worked for the Toledo Club, Hillcrest Hotel, the former State of Ohio Mental Health Center in the early 1960's and lastly as a packing inspector for the former Manufacturers Enameling Corporation, retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed working in the yard, painting and going to garage sales. She was a faithful member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, singing in the Angelic Choir, serving on the Mothers Board also the Committee in upkeep of the church. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mother Amelia A. McGee was the widow of John McGee and is survived by sons, John, Fred and Aaron McGee; daughters, Carla Blanks, Debra L. and Brenda L. McGee; 15 grand and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Suttler; special niece, Marion Cozene; special childhood friend, Sandra Washington and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends. Visitation will be 12 noon with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at The Jerusalem MB Church, 445 Dorr Street 43604. The Reverend Dr. W.L. Perryman, Pastor and Officiant.
